"The Berlin Film Festival’s Teddy Awards — which honor the best LGBT films at the festival — were handed out tonight in Berlin.  Daniel Ribeiro’s "The Way He Looks" (Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho) and Stefan Haupt’s "The Circle" (Der Kreis) won the narrative and documentary prizes, respectively, while Roy Dib’s ”Mondial 2010” won best short film and Bruce LaBruce’s “Pierrot Lunaire” won a special jury prize.
The films all follow in a mighty path of past winners that include Derek Jarman’s “The Last of England,” Todd Haynes’ “Poison,” Jennie Livingston’s “Paris is Burning,” Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s “The Celluloid Closet,”  John Cameron Mitchell’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” Lisa Cholodenko’s “The Kids Are All Right” and Ira Sachs’s “Keep The Lights On.”
You can watch the Teddy’s interviews with the filmmakers behind “The Way He Looks” and “The Circle” here.”
